About

Medical Biomaterial Research Center (MBRC) at Tehran University of Medical Science provides an infrastructure for research on biomaterials and targeted drug delivery systems. Based on MBRC strategic master plan, MBRC aims to expand different research-educational activities in biomaterial science and pharmaceutical applications including education, research, development, engineering, manufacturing and more importantly international communications.

MBRC looking forward to reach the final destination in the field of pharmaceutical biomaterials by supporting research projects, conferences, workshops and journal clubs in order to generate revolutionary technologies through translational research and sharing of resources to create a pathway for both extend and improve the quality of life.

MBRC mainly focuses on designing innovative macro-scaled delivery systems and nano-particulate therapeutic platforms. MBRC is working on therapeutics and diagnostics field of cancer, diabetes, neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases. The center also seeks to become a comprehensive and development center of excellence for novel tissue scaffolds and regenerative medicine providing expertise in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of new pre-clinical and educational technologies. MBRC collaborates with wide variety of research institutes and pharmaceutical companies creating unique opportunity to support training Post-Doc, PhD and PhamD students in aforementioned field of interests.

Widely recognized faculty members, well developed research facilities and creative post-Doc, PhD and PharmD students focus on creating opportunities and collaborative atmosphere for young investigators. MBRC is a startup for creativity and breakthroughs in the field of drug delivery and tissue engineering.
