The Medicinal Plants Research Center (MPRC), headed by Dr. Abbas Hadjiakhoondi, was founded in faculty of Pharmacy, Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2003. This center was established to achieve advancement in the availability and application of medicinal plants, identification of the active compounds of plant extracts and essential oils with their biological and pharmacological activities through isolation and identification of natural molecular structures. Another depicted vista for the MPRC is attraction of attention and cooperation of other research and executive centers to deepen the investigations. Regarding the extensive research activities of the center as well as laboratory equipment, the center is ready to offer cooperation in the fields of laboratory tests and consulting services.
